Well this is definitely a change from Battleship and Friday Night Lights!
Steamy-dreamy actor Taylor Kitsch has reportedly joined the star-stuffed cast of Ryan Murphy 's HBO film version of iconic play The Normal Heart!
Taylor will play Bruce Niles, a gay investment banker who is SO moved by the horrors that result from HIV/AIDS that he becomes an activist fighting to raise awareness about the disease.
The Savages star joins Julia Roberts , Mark Ruffalo , Jim Parsons, and Matt Bomer in this retelling of the poignant, heart-breaking Tony-award winning production.
No news yet as to how this "movie" will take shape... we've heard it could be turned into a mini series, but it may just be a fully-fledged, uninterrupted film.
Either way, like most things Ryan Murphy touches, we're sure it'll be riveting!
