Frankie from The Saturdays is with child.
The joyous news was announced via the medium of Twitter using the following words: “Some big news from me today! Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both SO happy and can’t wait for his or hers arrival!”
The tweet also included a slightly scared looking emoticon and a heart, which sort of sums that up.
The next generation of The Saturdays is shaping up nicely isn’t it.

Olly Murs’ next single will be the “heartfelt ballad” ‘Dear Darlin”.
The song was co-written with your friend and ours Ed Drewett and will be available to purchase on June 3.
Olly had this to say about the song: “Writing with Ed and him being my friend [CLANG] helped, as we sat there for hours before writing, going over old relationships and recalling their scenarios.”
Fascinating stuff.
“It’s about writing to someone to tell them how I feel about losing someone,” he ‘explained’. “It’s not the kind of song you’d expect me and Ed to write, as we’re bubbly characters, but we were able to open up to each other”.
‘Bubbly characters’.

Amelia Lily’s plonked the perfunctory cover ‘art’ for her new album ‘Be A Fighter’ online.
We don’t want you to miss out so we’ve popped it at the top of this news story, but do get in touch if you can’t find it.
That font’s looking a bit ropey now isn’t it but the whole ‘my life used to be black and white but now it’s in colour because I have fought my way past the haters’ thing is subtly handled.
The album is of course out on April 29.

Quite good songwriter and singer in her own right Sia has tweeted something exciting about Mutya Keisha Siobhan.
@mksofficial Holy shit! You just killed that vocal!
— sia furler (@Sia) April 2, 2013
See, we told you.
We sort of assumed their collaboration was finished when they were in LA last month, so maybe this means Sia’s just heard a finished song.
Imagine that.
Mind you, it could be a mash-up or some remix involving Dev. WHO KNOWS.

‘Blood For Poppies’ hitmakers Garbage are going to start work on a new album fairly soon rather than waiting five years like last time.
“I think we want to get going quicker. We’d like to see a record come out next year,” Butch Vig told Billboard.
Mind you, don’t get too excited quite yet: “We don’t really have any songs started yet, but we all have ideas for songs. I have little riffs and things floating around in my head.”
But what does Shirley have to say about it all?
Well, she’s just glad they’re all friends again after they had some issues with the music industry in general, which lead to some arguments etc.
“When that happens you’re gonna snap at your family, right?” she mused. “Not the outside world. It’s who you trust and who you feel safe with that you tend to like to reveal yourself to.”
So true Shirls, so true.

The Jonas Brothers have dumped a bit of their new single ‘Pom Poms’ on the internet.
Apparently it’s out on April 9 but we’re not sure if that’s just in America or whether the whole world will get to enjoy it.
WARNING: Features the line “baby put your pom poms down for me”.
Anyway, here it is.

Nicki Minaj is refusing to confirm whether or not she’ll be back for the next ‘season’ (series) of American Idol.
“Would I come back next season? I think people would rather be surprised,” the ‘Dang A Lang’ chanteuse told MTV. “I like to save the mystery and the drama. I’d never give that away.”
That’s not to say that she hasn’t enjoyed her time spent rolling her eyes at Mariah Carey.
“I always say this and I mean it from the bottom of my heart, just that people behind the scenes at Idol have been a dream to work with. I’m just super grateful to have been given the opportunity.”
So basically she’s waiting for her contract negotiations to finish.

Prolific dance duo Daft Punk aired a mysterious advert thing in America over the weekend.
The fifteen second long teaser appeared in an advert break during Saturday Night Live and features a slow moving sparkly logo and some disco-tinged funk guitar.
It ends with that new image of their two mechanical heads fused together.
Of course there’s no actual information on it about when the new album might be coming out, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Resting Actor Justin Timberlake has ‘scored’ his first Number One since 2006 and only his second solo UK chart topper ever with the ‘quite good’, ‘Mirrors’.
Hurrah.
As if that weren’t reason enough to celebrate, new at Number 2 is Bastille with ‘Pompei’, a song which looked set for the top in the midweeks but was eventually beaten by over 13,000 sales.
Other new entries come from Wiley and ‘Chip’ with ‘Reload’, which is new at Number 9, while Paramore crash into the Top 40 at Number 39 with ‘Now’.
On the album chart, meanwhile, Emeli Sandé’s vice-like grip on the top spot doesn’t seem to be relinquishing anytime soon as she spends a tenth non-consecutive week at the top with ‘Our Version Of Events’.
There are also eight new entries in total, with Petula Clark’s excellent ‘Lost In You’ new at Number 24.
You can see the full charts here and here if you’re interested at all.

Ellie Goulding, Dizzee Rascal and Rizzle Kicks have all signed up to play this summer’s Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks.
The trio of new additions will join the likes of Palma Violets, The Vaccines, Foals and everyone’s favourite party boy, Jake Bugg.
The festival takes place between June 4 and September 17 and there’s more information on it all here and here.
Ellie Goulding had this to say about it all: “I’m really excited to be in Ibiza this summer. Ibiza Rocks is something I’ve always wanted to play and the crowds have a reputation of really bringing it!”
‘Bringing it’.
“Performing to people is my favourite thing and being able to do it somewhere I absolutely love is a bonus. See you there!”
You probably won’t see us there to be honest, but have fun nonetheless.

Authentic Chanteuse Lana Del Rey’s already started work on her new album and has “moved on to a more spiritual place lyrically,” which is nice to hear.
Apparently only talking to BBC Newsbeat in one sentence answers, she went on to say the new songs are “a little more stripped down but still cinematic and dark” and that she’s “been working on it really slowly but I love everything I’ve done.”
“I’ve been writing in Santa Monica and I know what the record sounds like,” she said helpfully. “Now I just have to finish it.”
She also ‘revealed’ that one of the songs has a name and she’s already got an idea for the video:
“I have a song called ‘Black Beauty’ and I’ve already talked to people about making it.”
If it could be about twenty minutes long that would be great.

Daft Punk have confirmed they have indeed signed a deal with Columbia.
The announcement was sort of made a few weeks back, but the notoriously forthcoming duo have now confirmed it by sticking Columbia’s logo on this amazing new pic (hidden above).
Still no clue as to when the new album will be out, but we’re guessing it’s at some point this year. You’re welcome.
