It sounds petty and selfish me even writing this somewhere.
My sisters get called pretty, I've never been called pretty (I know, stupid thread topic, right?)
Recently a friend of mine said to me, "is that your sister, she's drop dead gorgeous." (My sister is 14) for some reason, I was really thrown by this.
I think we look pretty similar, so why don't I receive any form of ego boosting? I'm not attention seeking, please don't think that.
Do people never say these things to the face of who they're talking about? or do I repel compliments because I'm clumsy at accepting them?
Everyone needs reassurance, but I can't find any. Everyone will say "you look fine" but that's it, and honestly, I want to look pretty.
