Has anyone else decided to use drugs and alcohol to deal with their SA only to have it turn into a drug addiction?
I did....from 14 years old until 30 when I finally got sober 2 years ago . Once I got all the crap out of my system my SA returned full force and I'm still trying to overcome it...in a more healthy way. Being sober is awesome but I'm constantly reminded why I self medicated in the first place. I dread meeting new people, interviews, or anything that requires me to speak to someone face to face. The only time I feel completely at peace is when I'm by myself....which gets lonely and boring at times. Sadly, I don't ever see this changing.....:no
