To my surprise, I have found that I am at my best when coming off SSRI medication. So far, I have had Citalopram (SSRI) for 2 years and Foxetine (SNRI) for 1 year. Yes, I too sometimes suffer from the occasional mind-zaps when coming off medication but during this period, I am talkative! I stop being a procrastinator, I have no sign of depression, and more than anything, I am brave. As if I have just found what being a normal human means. This period starts 10 to 15 days after I stop my last dosage and lasts for about 5 to 10 days.
I am so curious why medications have such an effect on me or how I can replicate it indefinitely. Any information or reference toward a study that may shed some light on my situation will be an enormous help.
