When detectives discover that one of the victim's cars is missing, they begin following a twisted trail of clues they hope will lead to the killer. And in Harris County, the life of a 30-year-old mother of three comes to a violent and abrupt end when her throat is slashed by a late-night visitor. Sgt. In Charlotte, Detective Phil Rainwater and the homicide team are called out to a restaurant parking lot littered with shell casings, where a 20-year-old father was shot dead. Surveillance video shows their potential suspects fleeing the scene in a white SUV. If they can track down the car, they may find the shooters.
