so they always say you must accept and love yourself to overcome SA
I had this thought that if I accept my self then I would become social...
But what If I accept and love the fact that I am insociable?
I am starting to think that I might be a natural born loner, I just can't seem to be able to enjoy others company, or feel comfortable around them, even friends.
When I am alone its not like I am in a corner of my room crying and wondering why nobody calls me, No, I always have a project, something to do, and I enjoy doing these things...
When someone calls me to invite me to go out on a weekend, I feel is my duty as a friend to say yes and I go out, but in reality I feel that my weekend has been ruined because now I have to go out and I can´t do the things I wanted to do by myself. I spend all weekend trying to look normal, stress out and anxious around people instead of enjoying myself by my own, which I can do.
I read somewhere that introverted people HAD to have some time by them selves to recharge their batteries, and that this is perfectly normal, even a introverted person without SA needs alone time.
So maybe I am all the social I can be during the week at work, and on the weekends I just want to be alone... I can accept this
however I dont know If all these thoughts are just tricks my SA is playing on me to make me more isolated, or if they are accurate, thats what I hate about SA, you dont know when your thoughts are really yours, our they are SA thoughts.
Any help?
