This is probably the most irresponsible way to "get past" social anxiety, in fact, I would never recommend this to anyone, and definately this is something that should only be attempted by adults, not minors.

PS none of this is supported by medical research as far as I know. This is probably something that if you told a doctor about, he would criticize it, and perhaps lable you as a sociopath due to your excellent ability to lie without feeling guilty. You won't feel guilty because you know whoever you meet, you will take care of and actually love them.

Also this guide is not for you if you have serious issues with substance abuse. This guide is NOT condoning illegal substances nor substances for minors. This is for adults only. And yes the substances are necessary so you can act a particular way around the person you meet.

:afr so lets say this scared face represents you. you act socially awkward, you want a female companion in your life, but you feel held back

Basically it's like a broken bridge. You're on one side of the bridge, and what you want is on the other side of the bridge, except you can't get there because the bridge is broken in the middle. There is still hope.

  • First you want to take a nice photo or two of yourself and join a social

networking website, especially if it is for dating. Don't worry, you'll have a successful (but dysfunctional) strategy. Here's how to set up your profile. You want your photo private first of all, this way you have the courage to write a witty, intelligent, and sincere profile. You want to put that you have been in a relationship before- set something like 1 or 2 years. Make sure to mentally create a story of what her name was if you're ever asked about the relationship, but only create a first name, create fake memories in your head of what she looked like, how it ended, by the way, if you are ever asked yes you did lose your virginity.

  • Second thing you want to do is you've got to start somewhere. Look for psychological clues of low self-esteem. I'm not going to mention the website (it involves sea creatures and there's a lot of them) but there is one where you can do an advanced search. Look for personality labels such as "homebody" or "intellectual" or something around those lines.

  • Make sure she is not too pretty nor too ugly. Please keep in mind that if she looks like a 4 or 5, while under the influence her looks will probably be a 6 or 7, because your judgement is going to be in lala heaven.

  • You could also look on the "will respond" category and that maay work. Anyway, you want to send a message with a photo of yourself, briefly introduce yourself, and if she is an intellectual, write everything well, in fact be an intelligent writer, DO NOT compliment her looks because you want to treat her like a person, not an object (everyone is going to say hey baby and generic stuff like that is so overused). You may compliment her profile.

  • Good thing you are a HAPPY person and don't have issues in life. Anyway you're basically going to be an actor on the internet. After a while, you get her number. Now, this is the first part where you need to be "feeling loose". If you're under 21 but 18 and over, there are many legal substances that can be bought online that create a loose state of mind to say the least. Let's not discuss them for now :)

  • basically while you're under, you can use your mind to act a certain way since your emotions won't be holding you back. Talk in a confident (basically louder than you normally do), and talk energetically but make sure you are coherent. It's nice to get to talk to you! Discuss more about her interests you learned, and more about yours. Play it by ear, if she wants things to go slow, don't ask her out yet, you probably want to talk on 2-3 occassions. The good news is that it's the first impression on the phone that counts. You definately won't have to be messed up every single time. There's no point going to rehab because you had to make 15 phone calls for 1 date :D Besides you made it this far, give yourself a pat on the back, your confidence in your abilities should have gone up at least some.

-now the substance will be your jetpack to get to the other side of the bridge

-when you go on the date don't take your substance of choice until you stopped driving to your destination or walking. If someone is dropping you off it maay be different. If you're using public transport you still want to be careful. legality of a substance doesn't equate with legality of public intoxication, but then again, you're playing a role and when you meet her you're going to use all your willpower to be as that happy fun to be around i'm interested in you, role. You got to act sober.

Alright, I know some of you may make some "smart remarks" about this, but the reason why this bothers me is because it is my friend. Let me tell what happened and I need some opinions on if she is flirting with me.

So my friend, I'll call him Jeremy and I'll call myself Dan (i doubt he goes here but I still want this annoymonous), and I, work on creating this computer game together. Yesterday I went over to his house and as usual his mom answered the door, said hi, and then Jeremy walked in and we went to his bedroom where he has the computer and our game outline.

A little about his mom first of all- she's been divorced for a long time. Now, I admit she does look nice for someone who is an older divorced mother She's got this medium length brown hair, and that day I remember she wore a green top and some long gray pants. I usually don't notice but I clearly remember what she looked like that day because it shocked me what happened, i'll continue on.

I'm sitting next to Jeremy with a notebook while he's attempting to draw a "sprite"- essentially like a drawinig for this space ship. He's complaining about how even with using the straight line tool it still looks a little "zig zagged" on the side of the space ship. His mother walked in and said, "you guys having problems"

and Jeremy said, "this tool for drawing a straight line still makes it look crooked". His mom said, "Let Dan try", and I said "I don't know if i can do much better but i'll give it a shot"

So I was dragging the line with the mouse cursor and instead of letting go of the mouse i managed to keep moving it until the line was completely straight, and then his mom said "you must have veeery sturdy hands".

Anyway she walked away and I just kept talking to Jeremy and said, "Oh okay i guess if you don't let go of the cursor right away you can adjust it to look straight"

We switched seats and I was so relieved I played it cool and my friend didn't seem to notice her remark being weird:um

An hour later the phone rang and said "Jeremy, it's SuchNsuch (his other friend)". He was like "be right back just start programming the keys".

While he was on the phone, his mom came inside the room with a laundry basket and i didn't look but she was probably picking up his pile of clothes.

She then stood beside me and said, "so my son tells me this game is about trying to destroy other ships and travelling to planets..is that right?"

I was like "yeah, the goal is to keep the space ship alive, land on different planets and explore the territory"

She looked at me and said "well i guess in that game you've got to shoot a lot if you want to keep going" :no and I kinda had to hold back a laugh and said "yep.." She then said, i'll be right back let me just put this big load in the washer"

"jeremy shouldn't be too long, but hey at least you get to use your skills"

When she left I kept thinking "hurry up Jeremy, please get off the phone you retard!"

It barely took her long at all to shove that stuff in the washing machine and come right back in her son's bedroom. There just conveniently happened to be a shirt lying under his bed and I turned around when she said "oh my!" and I saw she found some porn magazine, and I accidentally burst out laughing.

She found it amusing, and was like "you'd think everyone would have switched to internet by now to avoid issues like these from occuring" and winked at me. She placed the mag and shirt back and said, "this never happened" and i said "understood and just smiled".

Anyway Jeremy came back and it was so awkward, and I'm supposed to go to his house again tomorrow.
