It's a question I have contemplated asking for a little while now, but from your perspective, how proportional do you think the ego is to one's own intellectual capacity? Furthermore, are you of the impression that said capacity implicitly reinforces a sense of self confidence and poise?
The idea to me holds intrigue since while I acknowledge the commonplace stereotypes that tend to surround the 'intellectual demographic', I never considered myself one who meshed particularly well within these ideals, and so thus never carried any of the aforementioned. On the contrary, I am doubtless that self-confidence and a high ability to reason are relevantly principal and run parallel to these images in the real world setting.
What are your views, if any?
