This must have been such a difficult, internal struggle, but we're just relieved to see that he made the right decision and is getting the help he needs.
Unfortunately, Cory Monteith 's shocking announcement last night that he had admitted himself to an unknown rehab facility to be treated for substance addiction will mean that the Glee star will be missing what's left to film of the smash FOX series' fourth season.
According to insiders, the musical dramedy has yet to kick off production of its final two episodes this year, but in light of this unfortunate development in Cory's personal life, his character Finn has been written out of the scripts, with his absence explained.
Girlfriend Lea Michele already spoke out in response of the news going public, but now a representative for 20th Century Fox says in a statement:
“Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment. Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return.”
As do we!
It takes a lot of courage to admit that a disease like addiction has caused your life to become out of control and unmanageable, and making a conscious effort to address it and ask for help is a big portion of the battle!
You've already beaten this once, Cory! You can do it again!
Stay strong! You're in our thoughts and prayers during this trying time!
