Sexual Identity and Gender

I have been wondering if sexual identity is more fluid for women. From what I have seen and experienced, men tend to be more rigid on either being gay or straight with few identifying as bi. Most women on the other hand have had some sort of attraction to other women at some point in their lives. There seems to be more room for experimentation/openness regarding sexual identity with women. This is not to say that there aren't straight or gay people exclusively, but it seems that some sort of spectrum exists, not just parallel lines of sexuality like most people seem to think.

Do you think this is an actual thing or am I just noticing it in people randomly?
