American Idol is down to its final three following this week's elimination round.
The final four contestants had lucked out during last week's "save." Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case last night when audiences said goodbye to Amber Holcomb.
Ch-ch-check out Amber perform Little Mix ’s Wings with her fellow contestants (above) as we bid the talented singer farewell.
Mariah Carey and the remaining three girls couldn't control their emotions during Amber's exit song, Whitney Houston ’s I Believe In You And Me. So sad!!
Best of luck, Amber! You made it this far -- we’re sure good things will follow!
Her elimination followed performances by David Cook and Will.I.Am , as well as mentorship by possible Idol judge Harry Connick Jr.! Wait, possible judge?!
Yep. Harry revealed that he was approached about joining the panel next year:
"It's a fun show. It's been talked about before, who knows what'll happen in the future... You know, they kinda wanted to know if I would be interested in it.”
Hmm...we’d be totes okay with regular TV visits from Harry! Yes.
Tune in next week for the final three’s hero’s welcomes, and watch them gear up for the finale! It's gonna goooood.
