Jumping off the 100 feet cliff

Isn't that what anxiety in its core is ?

With a shaky feel, standing on a high cliff, sweaty, nervous, knowing that eventually you must jump because there is a avalanche coming down, which manifests itself as the death of all the dreams, hopes and ambitions you have ?

I found that people often make the 100 feet jump when their backs are against the wall, for example: If you were in a bar and wanted to speak to a person you like, you'd be too scared to do it, yet if a person held a gun to your head and your life was on the line, certainly its not much of a problem !

What helped me with my anxiety is considering the stakes.... such things as ego death, eternal loneliness, financial hardships... i think it helps to really know yourself, and what's on the line and how much you really want to beat anxiety, or if its just a chair you feel comfortable sitting in because there is nothing out there waiting for you in the real world
