What's the hardest math class you've ever taken? Did you pass it?
I haven't gotten very far in math; probably the hardest I've taken was Calculus 1 (differential calculus) last semester. I barely passed that class and it was only near the end of the course that I started to understand it.
However, afterwards when I was reading some textbooks on it it came to me so easily, I now understand it thoroughly. I also read some Linear Algebra books and I think I have a good grasp of it now.
I like math because it's like a puzzle, and I like to be challenged in it. However, I hate doing it for class because it has to be done in a certain way and its for marks; it no longer seems fun. That's why I don't do good in my math classes and I don't plan to take anymore; the career path that I'm taking doesn't require any higher math anyways.
But I still like reading math textbooks and challenging myself. I've heard about the math that comes after Calculus, like Abstract Algebra, Topology, Number Theory... it seems pretty daunting but I'd like to try and learn it, by myself.
